Reception & Admin Team
Rita runs our admin and accounts. She comes from a farming background and joined, what was then Sutton, Steel & Holmes Veterinary Surgeons straight from school, many years ago! She has seen many changes from those days of large animal practice through to Spinney Lodge Vets and hospital status, and is our longest serving member of staff, although doesn’t look it! You will usually find her, and her Border Terrier, Phoebe, at Spinney Lodge Veterinary Hospital.
Formerly a client, Caroline joined Spinney Lodge Vets as the Receptionist at Abbey Centre Veterinary Clinic. On completion of purpose built Wootton Fields Veterinary Surgery she moved to run reception and administration there. She is a busy lady with 4 grand-daughters, 2 dogs and a geriatric cat that she re-homed!
Leah joined Spinney Lodge Vets in 2011 and enjoys the variety of working as a receptionist in a busy veterinary hospital. She loves seeing all the different animals, but still loves her two Guinea Pigs the best!
Karen joined Spinney Lodge Vets reception team in 2013 and is a keen animal lover. She had worked previously as a receptionist, but nothing prepared her for her job at a busy veterinary hospital! She enjoys riding her horse, Harvey, has Lily the cat and two Jack Russell Terriers called Spot and Spud!
Hayley, an animal enthusiast, joins our Reception team after years of working for a well-known financial house. She is enjoying the change that the new role has brought and loves meeting all the pets!
Another client of Spinney Lodge Vets, Deana joined us in 2014 as a receptionist working at Abbey Centre Veterinary Clinic and Wootton Fields Veterinary Surgery. She has just complicated her life by acquiring a lively puppy that she adores!
Formerly a Midwife, after early retirement Janet decided that she would still like have a part-time job. Having brought her cat to us for many years, she joined Spinney Lodge Vets in 2014 as receptionist at Abbey Centre Veterinary Clinic.
Another former client, retired Mick is our “fixer” and made himself invaluable. With 3 sites he is kept busy by their constant needs. Whether it’s a broken toilet, decorating or CCTV, he can turn his hand to almost anything, having recently refitted our new lab, and put in a new kitchen after a messy leak.
Katie joined us in 2016 having previously worked for some large financial institutions, but has elected for a change in pace of life! She is the proud owner of her much loved dog.
