Terms and Conditions of our online
Prescription Ordering Service
Our online Prescription Ordering Service allows you to order repeat medication, food and other items such as flea and worm treatments, for your pet in a quick and convenient way.
To use this service for prescription medicines your pet must be registered with us and have been examined by one of our vets. For those on long-term medication it will be necessary to arrange regular appointments for repeat examination and medication checks. The frequency of these checks will depend upon your pet’s condition and medication – it will be at least every 6 months for prescription medicines and for many cases it will be more frequent. Regular checks are essential to ensure your pet’s condition is well managed and any arising issues are addressed promptly.
Please allow 24 hours for your prescription request to be processed.
We will contact you to advise when your prescription is complete and ready for collection.
Prescriptions are available from this practice.
You may obtain PRECRIPTION ONLY MEDICINES category V, (POM V's) from your Veterinary Surgeon OR ask for a prescription (which is £12 inc. VAT) and obtain these from another Veterinary Surgeon, Pharmacy or online Pharmacy.
Your Veterinary Surgeon may only prescribe POM V's for animals under his care.
A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or if immediate treatment is necessary.
You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be prescribed for your animal.
The general policy of this practice is to reasses an animal requiring repeat prescription at least every 6 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. A consultation fee of £17.93 (£16+VAT) will be charged for this re-examination.
The prices for the ten POM V's most commonly prescribed during a three month period are displayed on the notice board.
Further information on the prices of medicines are available on request.
